Kanye West lent his friend Francis Farewell Starlite a hand by appearing in the rocker's most recent visual. 'Ye joined Bon Iver in guest appearing in Francis and the Light's new "Friends" video this week (July 7).

Sporting a decked out Standard Issue Souvenir jacket, Yeezy bops along to the beat and lip syncs some of Francis' introductory vocals before the camera turns its attention to Francis. The lead singer then joins rocker Bon Iver for some careful orchestrated, pretty impressive choreo before Kanye comes back into frame at the last few moments of the video.

The minimal, single take video showed each character in their most natural light, a deliberate move from director Jake Schreier. If the set up for the visual looks familiar, it's because Schreier has helmed music videos for the likes of Donnie Trumpet and the Social Experiement's "Nothing Came To Me" earlier this year.

This definitely isn't Francis and the Light's first run-in with hip-hop. The New York City based band produced and was featured on one of Chance The Rapper's Coloring Book songs called "Summer Friends." And back in 2010, the band toured with Drake. Since Kanye also appeared on Chano's anticipated third tape, it wouldn't be out of the question to think Francis and Kanye decided to link up for this video after crossing paths on that project. Check out Kanye's cameo in the video above.
