Kanye West shut down the FYF Fest in Los Angeles last night. And he brought friends. 'Ye, who was a last minute replacement for the original headliner, brought his rockstar status to L.A. Memorial Sports Arena and Exposition Park and gave the fans a show to remember. At one point he went into a medley of hits (above) declaring, “I’ve got like 10 minutes and I’ve got like 10 years of hits for y’all. We’re going to do one hit a minute.” He later brought out Rihanna for their track "FourFiveSeconds," then put protege Travi$ Scott on the stage to perform the tracks "Antidote" and "Upper Echelon."

This lit azz performance almost didn't happen. Frank Ocean was scheduled to headline the first night of the two-day music festival but pulled out at the last minute "on his own terms" according to show promoters. He was quickly replaced by West. Also on last night's bill were Run the Jewels, Kaytranada, BADBADNOTGOOD, D’angelo and the Vanguard, FKA Twigs and more.

Yeezus has been going hard in the paint on the festival circuit this year despite not always getting a warm reception. Two of his bigger performances this year were met with opposition as his headlining gigs at the Pan Am Games and the Glastonbury Festival were both petitioned by concertgoers.

Even though he has yet to put out his highly anticipated LP Swish, West is still doing numbers on the album sales front as he has seen a number of his songs earn platinum and gold certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America this year.
