Jay-Z Hires Personal Chef for NYC 40/40 Club

After announcing this week the flagship 40/40 Club in New York City will shut down for renovations, it appears Jay-Z has already hired a new chef to make sure the food served at his and partner Juan Perez' restaurant/lounge is up to par.

According to TMZ, Mike Shand, Hov's personal chef for the past couple of years, will be the new Executive chef at 40/40 and already has plans of incorporating one of Jay's favorite dishes: a Baja-style catfish.

Jay's rep told the entertainment site that "[Jay] knew that Mike would be able to improve upon the current menu in ways that had the Jay-Z seal of approval because many are dishes that he eats himself on a daily basis." —XXL Staff
