San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has caught a lot of flack for his refusal to stand for the National Anthem before NFL preseason games. Now, we're starting to hear more from his celebrity supporters, namely J. Cole. Recently, the North Carolina rapper supported Kap by rocking the quarterback's number seven jersey during one of his performances. You can see him wear Kap's jersey while performing "A Tale of 2 Citiez" above.

While Cole clearly supports Kap's movement, plenty of other people are pretty upset with the 49ers QB. Even Kaepernick's mother voiced her disapproval not too long ago. Still, we doubt that the criticisms have bothered Kap more than the killing of African Americans at the hands of police officers. He has claimed that that is the reason he refuses to acknowledge the American flag during the National Anthem.

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick told NFL media. “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

Kaepernick's actions have helped people continue conversations about race in America and even encourage people to use their voice to change the National Anthem. Cole is one rapper supporting Kaepernick in this situation, but you can be sure he won't be the last. NFL fans are already buying Kaep's jersey in massive amounts, making his white jersey the No. 2 bestseller on the NFL Shop.
