Hip-Hop Reacts to Ronda Rousey Losing to Holly Holm

The unthinkable happened last night when famed female UFC fighter Ronda Rousey took a vicious roundhouse kick to the neck from Holly Holm at UFC 193, ending the match and ending her undefeated streak. It went down last night in Melbourne, Australia in the highly contested match. Holm, 34, came into the fight with an unblemished record of 9-0 and an aura of confidence. Things got going in the 1st round with both fighters landing shots, but Holly getting the bigger blows. The contender ended up edging the first round 10-9.

In the second round, Holm landed a mean kick to the side of Rousey's head dropping her to the canvas. Game changer. Game over. After the brutal bout, Rousey was taken to the hospital for further evaluation. “Yeah, she went to the hospital,” UFC president Dana White told Fox Sports. “Her lip is split, and they’re going to have to sew her lip and put some stitches in it.”

Rousey, arguably the most famous UFC fighter, male or female, had been undefeated through 12 UFC bouts before meeting her match in Holms. Of course, the Internet went berserk when Rousey's unconscious body hit the canvas. No one figured the champ would take an L anytime soon. And especially not like this.
