Update:

Gucci just dropped the new track "First Day Out Tha Feds" produced by Mike WiLL Made-It. Hear it above.

Original Story:

Much to the pleasant surprise of rap fans around the world, Gucci Mane was unexpectedly released from prison yesterday. The widespread understanding was that Guwop wouldn't be let out the clink until mid-September and some fans had even created a countdown clock for the occasion, missing the mark by about 120 days.

And now, the good news keeps rolling out, as Gucci has announced that he plans to drop a new song titled "First Day Out Tha Feds" at 10:17 p.m. tonight. The Breakfast Club premiered the Mike WiLL Made-It track this morning.

Gucci's last release, the robust Meal Ticket, dropped nearly a month ago on the dot, the 36-track mixtape featuring guest spots from Young Scooter, Chief Keef, Makonnen, Quavo, Waka Flocka Flame, Rich The Kid and more.

Speaking with XXL, Gucci Mane's lawyer Drew Findling explained the rapper's early release, saying, "Myself and my legal team took the position that he was not properly deemed and then credited for the time he was incarcerated while waiting for his case to go to court. We filed a series of motions after which being considered, the court signed an order in agreement with us. Bailor was sent to the Bureau of Prisons and his sentence was adjusted accordingly and he was released.”

We can toast a double cup to that. Expect "First Day Out Tha Feds" just after 10 tonight if not earlierwith a gallery of fan reactions to Gucci's release included below.
