Watch GoldLink Cover OutKast’s “Roses” With Masego and Hare Squead
GoldLink has proven his talents are not to be slept on, and now the creative artist is using his flair to bring us some serious nostalgia. While performing in an intimate session for BBC Radio 1's Piano Sessions, the At What Cost rapper did a cover of OutKast's famous "Roses" record from their 2003 Speakerboxxx/The Love Below album. Watch the performance below.
Joined by Irish rap/R&B group Hare Squead and Masego, the musicians provided some sax and background vocals for a beautiful cover of the Southern duo's hit single. GoldLink channels his inner André 3000 for the song, singing the famous, catchy hook, as well as his first and second verses. Hare Squead even delivered a brand new verse on the track, which OutKast fans will certainly enjoy.
It's been another major year for GoldLink, as the Maryland MC dropped off his At What Cost project back in March, and saw major success with his hit single, "Crew," which featured Shy Glizzy and Brent Faiyaz. The record also received the remix treatment for the song from Gucci Mane back in June.
Fans are looking forward to see what else GoldLink provides for the rest of 2017 as they continue to embrace his latest project.
