Flying Lotus’ New Film ‘Kuso’ Will Feature Hannibal Buress
Flying Lotus already landed the likes of music legend George Clinton and Workaholics star Anders Holm for Kuso. Now, the producer has added Hannibal Buress to the cast of his first feature film. Today (Nov. 15), Flying Lotus annouced that Buress, Tim Heidecker (Tim and Eric's Awesome Show, Great Job!) and Donnell Rawlings (Chappelle's Show) would be part of the upcoming movie
"So dope! @timheidecker @hannibalburess and @donnellrawlings are in KUSO!! Film is almost done now!" he tweeted. "Crazy, that me and @hannibalburess always find a way to work together. He killed it in Kuso tho. The whole cast is awesome. Got @timheidecker to play the creepiest character he's played thus far. #kuso."
Flyin Lotus and Buress previously collaborated on the latter's Comedy Central series Why? With Hannibal Buress. Flying Lotus served as the house DJ for the show, which ran for just one season. The Brainfeeder founder also popped up in the latest season of The Eric Andre Show, which features Buress as the host's sidekick.
Kuso will not be Flying Lotus' first foray into film. The producer made his directorial debut with a short film called Royal, which premiered at Sundance’s NEXT Festival this past summer.
According to Deadline, Flying Lotus' new film will tell the story of the aftermath of Los Angeles’ worst earthquake nightmare. Kuso follows the broadcasts of a makeshift network of discarded televisions, traveling between screens and aftershocks into the twisted lives of the survivors.
