Finese2Tymes Sentenced to Five Years in Prison for Federal Weapons Charge

Rapper Finese2Tymes has been sentenced to five years in prison on a federal weapons charge.

Over the weekend (Dec. 7), NBC News confirmed that the Tennessee native was sentenced after he was arrested with a gun last year when a shooting broke out at Power Ultra Lounge nightclub in Little Rock, Ark. last year. Although the gun charge was completely unrelated to the shooting, Finese2Tymes, who was born Ricky Hampton, was hit with five years in prison after he initially pleaded guilty in March to possessing a gun at the Forrest City nightclub in eastern Arkansas.

The original shooting that took place at Power Ultra Lounge left 25 individuals with gunshot wounds and three others with injuries that occurred after club attendees rushed out of the venue as shots fired off inside. Finese2Tymes' initial arrest took place outside of another nightclub in Birmingham, Ala., last year and was extradited to Arkansas where he was sentenced.

Although he was supposed to face up to 10 years behind bars, the "Like Me" rapper will only serve five years.

Prior to his prison sentence, Finese2tymes was racking up major views on YouTube with his music videos. “Going Straight,” shot by Wikid Films, garnered over 22 million views. Another clip for “G Train” racked up 2.4 million views. The Memphis rhymer's last visual was for the braggadocios track "UnderStanding."
