Jersey, stand up! Fetty Wap's self-titled debut album has officially gone platinum today (Mar. 3).

Fetty Wap, which dropped last fall, received platinum certification from the RIAA for sales, streams, and downloads in excess of 1,000,000. Zoovier's debut album was heavily propelled by radio smashes "679" featuring fellow Remy Boy Monty, "My Way" and of course, the single that started it all, "Trap Queen." When it was released on Sept. 25, 2015, the album instantly debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The L rated album from the Paterson, NJ native "mastered the trap/R&B fusion that seems to be getting more popular every single day," as reviewed by staff. "His vocals are incredibly distinct and the production is somehow able to match his delivery to the point where it becomes tough to tell what sound is vocal and what sound is beat."

Wap's platinum status is just icing on the cake for the former XXL Freshman's banner year. The melodic, one-eyed MC is currently on his own headlining sold out tour, Monster Energy Outbreak Tour Presents: Fetty Wap - Welcome To The Zoo, supported by Post Malone and the Zoo Gang. He's also broken Billboard records previously held by The Beatles and received not one but two 2016 Grammy nominations in the categories of Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance.

In addition to all the blessings he's already received, Fetty has another one on the way. He and reality star Masika Kaylasha are expecting a child together and after some rocky patches, Fetty is showering his bundle of joy-to-be with the best money can buy, dropping $20,000 on baby shopping.
