Those fans who saw British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran on his most recent tour can attest to his love for hip-hop. Not only does he rap frequently throughout his live set, but Sheeran has recorded songs with Rick Ross and Lupe Fiasco--and an entire EP with Yelawolf. Now, those same fans can see the singer in a genre experiment all by himself. Sheeran stopped by the BBC Radio 1 studios to record a cover of O.T. Genasis' massive hit "CoCo," complete with acoustic guitar and his own ad-libs.

Sheeran, whose X was named by music streaming service Spotify as the most-streamed album globally for 2014, has reportedly also been working on a collaboration album with Compton rapper Game. No titles, release dates or singles have been confirmed for that record. As for X, Sheeran failed to take home either of the major awards for which it was nominated, Best Pop Vocal Album and Album Of The Year. The former was given to Sam Smith's In The Lonely Hour, the latter to Beck's Morning Phase. And his rap fan credentials need not be checked: Last year, when asked to list his five favorite rap songs, the Brit tapped standards "Stan," "99 Problems" and "Brenda's Got A Baby" before hitting deep cuts. He counted among his favorite Big Pun and Fat Joe's "Twinz (Deep Cover)" and the infamous freestyle session between the late Big L and a young Jay Z.

Nick Jonas also did a cover of Kanye West's "Only One" that was pretty sweet (check below).
