After dropping the EP Paranoia: A True Story in August, Dave East is already gearing up for the release of Paranoia 2.

In an interview with Montreality, the New York rapper said fans may see the project before Halloween. "Paranoia 2 on the way," East said. "I'm bout to hit em back-to-back. Probably like before Halloween, you know what I'm sayin'."

The 2016 XXL Freshman also revealed his long-awaited debut album would finally see a release following his upcoming EP. East said, "I'ma come with another one, one more EP. And then, album time, like my real debut -- debut, debut. Probably like, end of the year, top of the year... That's when you gon' be hearing about Tidal and all that."

Considered by many hip-hop fans to be one of the better rappers out of New York today, East is proud to be a part of the new wave. Speaking with XXL, the "She Ready" artist praised his fellow New Yorkers like A Boogie, Young M.A and Don Q.

“I feel like it’s a lot of different sounds," he said. "I feel like nobody really copying each other. I feel like everybody got they own wave, they own crew, they own…like it wayoos before. And I feel like that just keeps it competitive, get what I’m saying? Me seeing what A-Boogie and them is doing, what [Don Q] and them is doing, what (Casanova) is doing, what Young M.A is—like, me seeing what all these people is doing, it keep me on my toes just as far as the city go."
