Dave East recently linked up with Duke and Wiz Khalifa for a new banger called "Billboard." Now, the 2016 XXL Freshman is back previewing new music.

The 28-year-old Harlem MC posted several snippets of a new song, which you can watch above and below, on Instagram yesterday (Jan. 5). Over a grimy, boom-bap instrumental, East spits, "Take you to kitchens where they actually cook/Nobody knew you then you had to get booked/Shoot at the car, hit the driver now the passenger shook/The pack just came in from Cali, I ain’t passin’ this kush.”

The Def Jam artist continues, "Never dyin’ my hair/I wake up get high as a Lear/You lookin at me too long, niggas die for a stare ... This ain’t Roc-a-Fella but I’m formin’ a dynasty here."

No word just yet on what this track will be called, or if it'll land on a specific project. XXL will keep you updated as more information emerges.

Dave East is coming off a huge 2016, in which he cracked both XXL's freshman list as well as XXL's 50 Best Hip-Hop Projects of the year. Additionally, his "Keisha" track made XXL's 50 Best Hip-Hop Songs of 2016, and his verse from the same record made it onto XXL's 20 Best Verses of the year.

If these Instagram snippets are any indication, East is primed for a big 2017, as well. As aforementioned, you can watch these brief clips above and below courtesy of Dave's official IG account. His debut album is on the way.
