The Jet life family is preparing for their latest addition.

Over the weekend, rap veteran Curren$y held one of two baby showers for the arrival of his and his girlfriend's first child, a baby boy. In a series of Instagram posts, the "Pressure" lyricist joked about everything from the mother-to-be cutting a cake with a spatula to opting out of wearing the standard "Burberry baby shower button-up."

"Had one shower on her turf having one on mines in a few weeks... and I’m still not wearing a Burberry shirt...," he captioned one photo. "Who said that was what soon to be dads had to wear to the shower? Shove it."

The couple first announced they were expecting in mid-August via social media. In the comments, Curren$y revealed that the child is a boy who's sure to have the sickest toy car collection on the block.

As he prepares to embrace the journey that is fatherhood, Curren$y has been steady in the studio. On Halloween, fans of both him and Freddie Gibbs will finally get a chance to hear their joint project, Fetti, which has been in the works for nearly two years.

The New Orleans native's forthcoming project with Gibbs will be his sixth this year in addition to The Spring Collection mixtape, Parking Lot Music and his latest EP, The Marina, with longtime producer Harry Fraud. He also dropped off a new album, Fire in the Cloudsin August.
