Bruno Mali Kidd Gets Initiated Into the Mob in “From Da Mud” Video
The ascendant Bruno Mali Kidd returns with a visual for "From Da Mud," a track from his recently released MADE mixtape. Following the obvious mob-inspired theme of the project's cover art, the new video finds Bruno getting initiated into the mob.
In the beginning of the "From Da Mud" video, we see Bruno—who's rocking a sharp black suit—making an oath of sorts, having the leader of an unnamed mob organization slice the tip of his finger before welcoming Bruno into the mob and conferring the status of being a "made" man upon him. Pretty cinematic stuff.
From there we see Bruno, who's been cosigned by Rick Ross, rolling with the rest of the black suit-rocking mob, posted up outside of a flossy whip as he spits the lyrics in "From Da Mud," which are pretty grimy compared to the opulence showcased in the video for the track. That's probably the point.
With his deep voice and piercing lyrics, Bruno, who's a prospective 2017 XXL Freshman, looks like he could very well be the next big thing out of Florida. Speaking with us this past March, the rapper let loose his goals in the rap game.
“Be one of the staples for the next 10 years," he said at the time. "Be one of the staples, and to help the other up-comers come through. Most likely be a staple for the next 10 years. Through music and business.”
