Bobby Shmurda's girlfriend pleads guilty for trying to smuggle in a weapon to the MC in Rikers Island during a recent visit. The New York Post reports that Shmurda, whose real name is Ackquille Pollard, was caught on June 21 after a guard saw Kimberly Rousseau, 18, "pull a black latex glove balloon wrapped in black electrical tape out of her bra and hand it to him." After inspecting the ballon, the guard found a “sharpened metal object.” The 20-year-old MC and Rousseau were charged with promoting prison contraband. The latter charge will be heard in Bronx Criminal Court, separate from the Manhattan Supreme Court’s indictment. Bail for Shmurda is set $2 million bail.

Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel appeared in Manhattan Supreme Court last week. Judge James Burke has set their trial to begin on Oct. 5, 2015. The two Brooklyn MCs and Epic Records artists will be tried along with four other defendants on charges stemming from a 101-count indictment handed down by the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor for New York City. Prosecutors recommended to the judge that Rowdy, real name Chad Marshall, receive seven years and Shmurda gets eight years behind bars. They both plead not guilty.

Bobby's time behind bars hasn’t been without incident; he was reportedly involved in a jail fight. In his interview with XXL from jail, the "Hot N---a" rapper called the incident just an "altercation," asked fans to pray for him and told us his regrets. "I regret coming back to New York," he said. "These officers out here is very dirty. They was trying to tag me with a bunch of things before this, so I regret coming back to New York."
