Bobby Shmurda was back in court this week after being accused of having his girlfriend smuggle a knife into the prison and then lying to a grand jury about it, says a report from The New York Times. According to the Times, Shmurda's girlfriend, Kimberly Rousseau, visited the rapper on June 21 and gave him a sharp object that she had hidden in her bra. After being caught with the shank, Shmurda lied to the grand jury about the incident. He now faces felony and misdemeanor charges of promoting prison contraband, perjury and criminal possession of a weapon, according to a statement from the Bronx district attorney's office. The incarcerated MC pleaded not guilty to the charges on Thursday and his next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. If he is found guilty, he could face up to seven years in jail. The rapper returned to Rikers Island after the court appearance.

The 18-year-old Rousseau pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to charges of felony and misdemeanor counts of promoting prison contraband and a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a weapon. Her next hearing is scheduled for Aug.

Earlier this week, a bizarre video of Flava Flav claiming that he was coming to bail out Shmurda circulated. Flav, who has no known affiliation to Shmurda, is seen in the video counting money and saying, "We comin' to get you, Shmurda."
