Big Sean Says His New Album Is “Darker” And More “Intense”
Big Sean has had a pretty amazing year. With another successful collaboration with adidas under his belt, a new girlfriend, signing a management deal with Roc Nation and a hit single causing everyone to throw their middle fingers up in the air, the Detroit native has every reason to smile. As he puts the finishing touches on his forthcoming third studio album, Big Sean took time to chop it up with Highsnobiety about what we can expect on the album and what prompted him to make a move to Jay Z's Roc Nation.
"It’s way darker than anything I’ve ever done, way harder than any album I’ve ever done," said Sean to Highsnobiety. "I’m pretty sure you’re going to like this album. The sound of it is definitely better than the mixtapes but it’s more of that type of intensity, high-level raps, and just not giving a fuck and going in.
While the "IDFWU" rapper admitted the album still doesn't have an official release date, he assured fans he wants to make sure the album is ready before revealing any date. The project is expected to feature Kanye West, Chris Brown, his boo Ariana Grande and more.
