XXLMag.com has learned that G.O.O.D. Music artist Big Sean has brought former Def Jam and Warner Music Group president Kevin Liles onto his management team. Sean revealed that he has signed with Liles and his KWL management company last week.

“Kevin got interested in my movement, he saw the movement and saw the potential," Sean told XXL. "After meeting him a few times and talking and having lunch and him meeting my mom, I just thought it would be the best move to take my career to the next level."

"With all of the things that [Kevin Liles] has done for hip-hop, it’s just exciting to have someone of that caliber on my team working for me,” he added.

Sean also confirmed that he has split with his longtime manager Michael “Blue” Williams, who in the past has guided the careers of Outkast and R&B group Jagged Edge. “There is definitely no bad blood at all," the 2010 XXL Freshman said. "Blue is still my homie. Everything I do is to further and better my career. It’s no hard feelings, it’s just something that happens some times.”

Mike Brinkley, of On the Brink Music, however will continue to co-manage Sean alongside Liles.

With the changes, Big Sean is still focused on finishing up his debut, Finally Famous: The AlbumAs previously reported, despite a press release announcing the disc to drop in March, Big Sean told XXL it is more likely that the LP will hit shelves sometime this summer. — Rob Markman
