XXL is back with another look at the best songs of the week. This week is strictly new school, with the current generation of artists dominating our selections.

First up is Kap G, with his new single "Freakin N Geekin." The Atlanta rapper might have a hit on his hands as this party starter seems bound to get some attention.

“I got ’em kissing, two video vixens/She want attention, she touching on my dick print/I got a mixed bitch, she pulled up with her best friend/Her daddy kingpin, he can get the prison/I throw a party at the mansion like it’s Run’s house/When I’m in Benihana’s gotta get that yum sauce/She got that thong off, now take your Uggs off/Now take your bra off, now give me un-soft,” Kap raps on the first verse.

PnB Rock scored a spot on this week's lineup with his song "88" featuring Lil Durk and Lud Foe. The Philly meets Chicago collaboration won't be appearing on PnB's GTTM: Going Thru The Motions project, which is scheduled to drop on Jan. 13.

Jazz Cartier kicked off 2017 in a big way with "Tempted," the first single off his upcoming album Fleurever. The Toronto native showcased his skills on the track, which was the first world premiere of the year on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music’s Beats 1 show.

“Girl I’ll be tempted to touch/I think I just fell in love/It may be you or the drugs/But we need some more in our cups/And so… call me when you’re lonely/Yeah, and I leave from the homies/Ooh, ooh, I heard you love it when the light’s out/Say the word, baby I can hit the right spot,” Jazz raps.

Capping things off for this week is Jefe's "Congratulations." The artist formerly known as Shy Glizzy debuted his new rap moniker on a new EP titled The World Is Yours. The D.C. rapper closed out the project with a bang as "Congratulations" sets the table for what should be an important year in Jefe's career.
