A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is quickly making a name for himself. The Bronx rapper has been rising up the ranks since his Artist: The Mixtape dropped. Now, he's gracing the airwaves of Hot 97 and freestyling for Funkmaster Flex. A Boogie stopped by the Hot 97 studio to rhyme about his ascent in the rap game along with labelmate Don Q.

"Summer's over before it started I took it over/The real artist, I go and draw it and paint it over/Last year me and Sosa was sleeping on sofas/Now I spend 10k just to fuck up my sofa," A Boogie spits to kick off the freestyle.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie might have the hip-hop world paying attention to him, but he's got bigger plans. The young rapper said he wants his entire Highbridge family to enjoy success.

"We’re trying to see what’s good with what people talking about right now,” A Boogie told XXL during a recent visit to the office. "Everybody talking good things so lets see where it goes ’cause we got better things. We know our worth. We’re trying to building Highbridge the Label to a dynasty. We’re the next thing out of New York so we’re trying to represent. This year we’re dropping a mixtape."

The "Jungle" MC has lofty aspirations for his solo endeavors too. But the young rapper seems to be a team player.

"I want to be the next legend," he said. "It’s different; we’re doing it by ourselves. It’s just us right here, us four. We started this from the ground up. Every night in the studio, everybody stopped doing what they were doing and started grinding. We invested everything we had. Nobody knew. We lost everything after a while. But luckily we came up on the grind so it evened out. Now we get to do shows. Shit is working out right now."

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie's journey has just begun. It will be fascinating to see what heights he can reach.
