A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Receives Five Platinum and Gold Plaques
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is basking in all of his success after an incredible breakout year in 2017, and last night (April 3), he held a party to celebrate receiving five plaques from the Recording Industry Association of America. The 2017 XXL Freshman invited friends and family to an unknown location to help him celebrate the first accomplished chapter of his career.
A Boogie received five different plaques from the RIAA for his "My Shit" hit single, which went platinum on Aug. 21, 2017, his "Timeless" and "Jungle" records, which both went platinum on March 5, his smash hit, "Drowning," featuring Kodak Black, which went platinum on Dec. 8, 2017, and his critically acclaimed debut album, The Bigger Artist, which became certified gold on March 5.
While sharing photos of the special evening on Instagram, the Highbridge signee captioned the pictures with gratitude for everyone that helped him get to the top, including Atlantic Records, his manager and team, his musical brother Don Q, his family and friends, and of course, his fan base.
"And last but not least the fans. You've been there since Day one," he writes. "When nobody cared who A Boogie was ya'll were there pumping the music. Thank you. If I missed anyone my apologies.. I'm truly humbled."
