Last night, at the Neuehouse in New York City, Atlantic Records held an intimate album listening event for CeeLo Green's forthcoming studio album, Heart Blanche. The project, set to drop worldwide on Nov.13, marks the return of the Atlanta rapper/singer after a five year hiatus in between studio albums.

During his time away in between projects, CeeLo Green appeared on several American television shows and even produced a reality series of his own alongside the Goodie Mob members, but while television was the main focus for Green, the "Fuck You" singer maintained busy in the studio recording new music. Originally scheduled to drop an LP in 2014 titled Girl Power, CeeLo decided to fallback on project and keep recording until the time was right for him to make his return.

Now, with only a month away from his fifth studio project, CeeLo Green is back on track to takeover the charts with his soulful voice and joyful music, and after a special Q&A last night with Sway from MTV and hearing a few songs off the Heart Blanche LP, here's five things you need to know about CeeLo Green's forthcoming album.

1. CeeLo Green worked on Heart Blanche for the past three years and recorded about 70 songs for the project.

2. CeeLo Green recorded the song "Robin Williams" after going through the genuine loss of what he considered to be a long time friend. "I wanted to address my own empathy and it makes me cry because I love him."

3. The lead single, "Music To My Soul" was written according to CeeLo Green by an admirer and touches on the historical events of the Dungeon Family throughout his 20 year career.

4. Green recorded with Mark Ronson in Palm Springs, Florida, a heartfelt track dedicated to his mother. The song was originally slated to be on the Girl Power project.

5. CeeLo Green based all of his songs on the new LP on humanity and humility. The project starts from growing up to finding love and the joy of life.
