2016 might have been a bad year for a lot of folks, but it was pretty good to Zoey Dollaz. The Miami rapper landed a major deal with Future's FreeBandz imprint and Epic Records. The co-sign helped Zoey earn gain a larger following, something he hopes to continue to build with his "From the Mud" music video.

Zoey and featured artist Blac Youngsta team up again for this visual to their hard-knocking anthem. The track certainly has potential to gain momentum like Zoey's breakthrough single "Blow a Check," which helped him get a deal in the first place.

“[Zoey’s] one of those guys, even if he didn’t have a record that you fell in love with instantly, you just want [him] on your team because you know he’s good enough to figure it out at some point,” Future’s manager Anthony Saleh told XXL.

The Florida rhymer has some simple goals when it comes to his music. Zoey told XXL that he wants to be the voice of the people.

“[I want] to be that voice for the people that can’t say certain stuff,” Zoey said. “You know life, if you got this girl and you want to tell her stop leaving shit in my house? You gon’ listen to my music. If you in the vibe that you wanna blow a check? I’m that voice. If you can’t put the feelings into rhyming words, you’re going to be a fan of mine. I just went through this and he’s rapping about it, that’s what hip-hop is and I want to be able to help other artists get on as well, like put them out there and put a light on them. That’s my goal.”
