wiliam.jpgBlack Eyed Peas front man, will.i.am, will release his debut solo album, Songs About Girls, on September 25 through Music Group/Interscope Records. As the lead MC and producer for the three-time Grammy Award winning group, will has worked with some of the biggest names in hip-hop. But for Songs About Girls, he is taking a difference approach, only calling on one guest appearance, Snoop Dogg on “Donque,” for the album. “I didn’t want to come out and say, ‘Hey, I’m a producer and here are all my friends,’” he says. “I wanted to be my own man and do my own thing and really try out some ideas that have been bubbling in my head.” The lead single off Songs About Girls, “I Got It From My Mama,” was recently released and director Brian Barber shot a video for the song in Brazil.
