Westside Gunn's 2017 has started off with a bang after the Buffalo, N.Y. native announced in early March that he, along with his partner-in-rhyme, Conway, had signed to Eminem's Shady Records. Now, looking to capitalize off the current momentum the MC has, Westside Gunn aims to be one of the XXL Freshman candidates.

With a rugged style and hard-hitting street records, Westside Gunn is best known for his 2016 debut album, FLYGOD. The Griselda Records signee has also put in work with some elite names in hip-hop such as Action Bronson, Danny Brown, Roc Marciano, Mobb Deep and more. With the spotlight in his direction, Westside Gunn is poised to have an exceptional year.
