Web Candy of the Week: Christina Fabulosa
Christina hails from Rochester, N.Y., and photographer Photo J strongly recommended that I check her work out. Good suggestion! This multi-racial, multi-cultural model is a star on the rise, with appearances in both the urban and the mainstream modeling worlds (including a spot in Fashion Week), and I had a chance to chat with the girl known as "Christina Fabulosa" about her aspirations, her celebrity crushes, and her very diverse background.
On her eclectic bloodline...
I'm Puerto Rican, Indian, French, Italian, Irish, and African-American. I wouldn't say one nationality is more prominent then the other, I just know which side to use when needed. Plus, it keeps people guessing, which is always fun to see.
On what a man has to do to win her heart...
He definitely has to have good looks, but most importantly, he needs to just be himself and keep it 100 from the start. Being a good cook doesn't hurt, either.
On why she's not afraid to put her nose to the grindstone...
A lot of girls talk about what they are doing or going to do, but I refuse to talk about things until I'm actually doing it. If there's something I want to accomplish, I won't stop ‘till I get it. Once I get it, I'm already reaching for the next big thing.
On why she's luckier than most models...
So far, I've loved every minute of modeling. Each experience has been different. From high fashion to urban modeling to videos, I've learned a lot and have been blessed not to have [to deal] with any negative situations.
On Mr. 305 and Bruno Mars...
I have such a crush on Pitbull and Bruno Mars. Pitbull has attitude and sex appeal that's just amazing. Bruno Mars has a quirky sex appeal that I like about him. That's the type of guy I like. His voice is to die for!
On the best advice she'd give to other aspiring models...
Just be yourself, do you and never let anyone change or compromise the image you've created for yourself. Once you change, you become just like the rest who are fighting for the same position you want. —Bernadette Giacomazzo (@bgiacomazzo)
