Trippie Redd is one of the fastest-rising names in the rap game, and he'll look to take his next step toward stardom when he drops his A Love Letter to You 2 mixtape. On Monday (Sept. 11), he used an Instagram post to reveal that the project will drop on Oct. 6, while also unveiling the official cover for the mixtape.

"A Love Letter To You 2. October 6th 🖤are you ready ?😈 until it drop I want you to comment "1400,"" Trippie captioned the photo of his A Love Letter to You 2 cover. The cover appears to be a collage of images from various points of the young rapper's childhood. It's a pretty striking visual.

Redd's revelation comes as he rides the momentum of his two new songs, “I Know How to Self Destruct” and “Woah Woah Woah/Crashbandicoot and chill,” both tracks that exemplify the sing-rap style that's propelled him to his current standing in the rap game.

The Canton, Ohio native is known for straying away from conventions of the rap genre when he makes music, employing a more pop-oriented sound when he hits the studio. Speaking with us this past July, he listed some of the rappers he listened to growing up.

“André 3000. Drake. 2Pac. Tyler, The Creator. A$AP Rocky. Travis Scott. The Weeknd. Lil Wayne, T-Pain," he told XXL. "I listen to a lot of the people that use Auto-tune. That’s why I fuck with them. At the same time, I’m versatile and I can do the lyrical thing because I’m listening to these guys for a reason. They do the same exact shit.”
