Timbaland Slams Lifetime’s Aaliyah Biopic

Update (Nov. 17, 12:16): Timbaland really didn't like the Lifetime's Aaliyah biopic. Timbaland called Hot 97's Ebro In The Morning to discuss why he disliked the movie so much and why he went ham on Instagram. Essentially he says the movie was not done well and in poor taste and he thought "it was a joke" because Aaliyah's family didn't approve of the movie. Watch it above.

The early reviews on the Lifetime biopic Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B is that the experience ranges between getting teeth pulled and having the runs. Fan's thoughts on the picture's pure struggle have even been hilariously immortalized on Twitter. One of the film's biggest critics was Timbaland who played an integral part in the singer's career. Tim has been opposed to the Wendy Williams-produced project for a while and expressed his disdain during the airing. "I hope yall not watching this," Tim posted on Instagram, last night. He continued to post several memes bashing the movie that were sent his way by fans before calling it quits. "People, thanks for the comments tonight, on that bullsh-t Aaliyah movie," a jovial looking Tim said into the camera. "They have felt Timbo's wrath tonight, baby."
