Now that you know about the must-see indie acts on the rise at this year's SXSW festival, we've decided to lace you with a breakdown of the best hip-hop showcases at this year's festival. While one of our editors runs around Austin and live-tweets about delicious cart food and fun concerts, the rest of the XXL staff is sitting here in New York, pretty jealous of all the rap there is to be heard this weekend. 2Dopeboyz and Nah Right Present Dopehouse! Part Deux

With a line-up that includes veterans like Talib Kweli and Trae the Truth, as well as indie favorites like Sir Michael Rocks and Alexander Spit, Meka and Shake's second round at SXSW promises to be event where the music and social atmosphere take precedence over industry politicking.

Sofa King Raw Entertainment Showcase

Sofa King Raw Entertainment offers one of the more unusual hip-hop showcases at SXSW. Don't let that deter you, however, as Skratch Bastid's DJ set will undoubtedly entertain turntable enthusiasts, while Phranchyze's opening set should prove to be a stand-out among new artists

Move Forward Music

Move Forward brings the old school and underground hip-hop to Austin, TX with a line-up that finds storied veterans like CL Smooth and Evitan rocking alongside respected newcomers like Ratking and Soul Khan. Headlining the event are Elzhi and Talib Kweli, promising that the event will be one for the truest for hip-hop heads.

Flosstradamus Presents Turn Up! SXSW

Fader Fort Presented by Converse

Fader is famous for consistently pulling together an incredibly weird but awesome lineup to every South By. Their fort will be open all day from Thursday through Saturday night.
