It took years for Kanye West and Taylor Swift to become friendly after Ye famously interrupted her VMA speech but their relationship may be back on the rocks. During Kanye's epic speech at Sunday's VMAs for his Taylor Swift-presented Video Vanguard award, Swift initially stood in the crowd with Kim Kardashian West and the camera frequently panned to her for reaction shots. About halfway into the speech, the camera stopped looking for T.Swift and reports say it was because the pop superstar started to panic when Kanye went off the rails.

"They [Kanye, MTV and Swift] had agreed to his talking points as part of the agreement of her presenting the award," a source told RadarOnline.com. "And then he went in a whole different direction." The report states that once Kanye went into free-form mode, Swift had "tunnel vision" and her handlers dragged her away from her spot next to Kardashian West. "She said she went into tunnel vision when he started going off script and that she tried to put distance between her and Kim," the source continued. "Her publicist had them kill planned shots to her once he went off course."

In the aftermath, Swift apparently said, "It could have been worse."
