Jayceon "The Game" Taylor doesn't put too much trust into people—and after hearing his story, it's clear to see why. His past, however, didn't keep him from seizing the opportunity to work with Dr. Dre, Eminem, 50 Cent and Jimmy Iovine. With his rhymes, smarts and cosigns, he was bound to prevail.

Snoop Dogg, on the other hand, had been in the game decades before we were introduced to Game. Around the time XXL's April 2005 issue was released, Snoop was becoming more of a household name than he'd already been, appearing on daytime talk shows and coaching little league football teams.

Though the men rep different sides, both The Game and Snoop Dogg assisted in the revival of West Coast hip-hop, so it was only right to have them side by side, flag by flag, on the cover. Click the article below to read the original version of Snoop's Shyne On and The Game's Limelight, respectively, from the Fall 2016 issue.
