With each year that the XXL Freshman Class is unveiled, there will be artists who just "get" each other and their friendships will strengthen as they go through each step of the process. This was surely the case for 2018 XXL Freshmen and friends BlocBoy JB, Lil Pump and Smokepurpp. Of course, they all did their cypher together and worked off each other's energy. Their roundtable interview was similar, with the three friends just hanging out and enjoying their big moment.

A happy BlocBoy JB, who collaborated with Pump on the track "Nun of Dat" earlier this year, breaks down why he and the rest of the trio get along so well. "Pump crazy as hell, Purpp crazy as hell, just crazy, we the Crazyteers," the 22-year-old rhymer states. All three young rappers are known for their desire to have fun first and it's on full display here.

When asked what parts of the 2018 XXL Freshman shoot he enjoyed most, Smokepurpp expressed that he loved the entire day. "The photoshoot, the freestyles, everything," shares Purpp, who names Gucci Mane, Young Thug and Chief Keef as artists who've shaped his sound. "It was crazy. I enjoyed it."

His childhood friend Lil Pump also chimed in: "It was fun, it was lit. It was a whole lotta esskeetit."

Smokepurpp also makes a major claim concerning his spot in the rap game. "We changed hip-hop," he states. Lil Pump, who says he was influenced by himself growing up, backs him up with "Changed the whole rap game" and BlocBoy agrees with a simply stated "Facts." Can't argue with that.

Their roundtable discussion awaits above. And be sure to watch BlocBoy JB, Smokepurpp and Lil Pump's individual freestyles and cypher below.
