Run The Jewels has been killing the rap game ever since they dropped their first album about four years ago—and they aren't close to being done, either. Not until they've beat their own challenge, an extra special one they issued themselves a while back.

"The rule for Run The Jewels is that we have to go at least as long as EPMD straight. Four albums, four classic albums straight," El-P tells XXL. "My personal hope is that we actually beat EPMD's record and go five straight, and then take a couple of years off and get weird and do something else."

Judging by their thorough group catalog so far, which includes Run the Jewels, Run the Jewels 2 and RTJ3, the duo comprised of Killer Mike and El-P are well on their way to accomplishing the feat. They haven't started working on their next album yet, but they do think they'll be getting well into working on the project in the near future.

In a recent discussion with us at Rolling Loud, the two rappers discuss their EPMD ambitions, the meaning of their RTJ logo and a shadow of a time frame for their next project. Check out the interview for yourself in the video below.
