Roc Nation strengthens it's roster by partnering with management company Philymack, the firm that represents pop stars Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas. According to TMZ, Hov has been involved in the careers of both artists since 2014--which makes sense considering Jonas was on the bill of this year's Made In America Festival. TMZ also says that Jay Z orchestrated Lovato's appearance on Saturday Night Live and feature in Vanity Fair magazine. "Phil has built an amazing company," Jay Z told Billboard about the partnership. "We sat down and dreamt about what the future could hold if we partnered. Our views aligned on nurturing, growth and allowing creatives to stay true to their voice. That dream we are living today and it's been amazing for all parties. We look forward to what tomorrow brings."

The partnership between Roc Nation and Philymack was allegedly supposed to be announced months ago but after Tidal didn't take off as expected, Jay Z and Philymack owner Phil McIntyre decided to hold off on the news.

"We believe in Phil, his company, and his vision," adds Roc Nation CEO Jay Brown. "He is committed to and has a passion for developing talent. His character and business sense are reflective of the Roc Nation philosophy."
