Ever since Post Malone dropped his critically acclaimed Stoney album in December of last year, his profile has only expanded. After breaking out with "White Iverson," which is still causing some controversy today, and following up with records like "Go Flex" and "Deja Vu," his debut album birthed another hit single featuring Quavo called "Congratulations." The song's currently at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 after spending 22 weeks on the chart, and Stoney is already platinum, but Post is nonetheless steady at work on his new album, Beerbongs and Bentleys

"I’m in the studio running through beats and everything, figuring shit out. It should be done pretty soon," Post told us in a recent conversation. "The label’s rushing me to turn it in. I’m just fuckin’ working. I’m trying to make an album that’s super killer. I think everything’s a hit. I think this is gonna be bigger than Stoney. I’m really excited for people to hear new shit and a new perspective and just get weird."

Earlier this year, Post talked to Hunger Magazine and told them he was aiming to drop the LP by June, but that's not happening. "See, I fucked up during that interview because I thought it was gonna be done – just, of course, like Stoney. We waited on that shit for like two years," says the Dallas-based rapper. "I can’t exactly say [when the new album will drop], but I know it’s gonna be before the end of the year. It’s gonna be before December."

As for producers, Post has been working with some familiar faces on the new album, including Cashio and Louis Bell, but he's also planning to get some beats from Metro Boomin and Frank Dukes, two producers who contributed to "Congratulations" and "Deja Vu," respectively. Plus, Post is doing beats on the new project too. "I’ve been making a lot of beats myself," he says. "I really wanted to make this next project more my type beats, more everything in-house."

He wouldn't tell us any guests planned for the album besides Ty Dolla Sign, but he did tell us he's got some crazy stuff with Young Thug in the stash: "We got some killer shit tucked away. We got some stuff. It’s just tough, you know, both of our schedules, actually getting into the studio and finishing shit up."

Nonetheless, fans should be happy to know they can expect a new project from Posty before the year's out. Hopefully a new single drops in time for the summer.
