The NFL has fined star wide receiver of the Houston Texans player DeAndre Hopkins for wearing his adidas Yeezy Boost 350 cleats during last Sunday’s game opener for the Texans.

The 350 cleats, which were released by adidas yesterday (Sept. 15), were first revealed by the wide receiver last week via Twitter. Gifted by the Three Stripes and Kanye West, Hopkins was fined $6,000 for breaking the NFL's uniform policy. The pair of "Turtle Dove" cleats were against the league's rules due to not having a solid base color.

After being fined for the cleats, Hopkins spoke out on the incident and whether or not he would be seen in pair of Yeezy cleats again, to which he responded, "Only if Kanye wants to pay the fine."

Hopkins became the first NFL player to wear the Yeezy Boost cleat shoe during an actual NFL game. Denver Broncos star Von Miller was the first actual player in the NFL to receive the Yeezy cleats followed by NFL star running back Adrian Peterson and Hopkins.

While the first pair of adidas Yeezy Boost 350 cleats released yesterday, it still remains to be seen whether or not adidas will launch the 750 cleats for retail. Make sure to keep it locked with XXL for more updates on this news and the possible release of the next set of Yeezy cleats.
