Some of Roc-A-Fella's dirty laundry has been aired out in the wake of the Surviving R. Kelly docuseries, with Dame Dash claiming his disapproval of Jay-Z working with accused pedophile R. Kelly on the 2002 album The Best of Both Worlds is one of main factors that led to the label's demise. Now former Roc artist Memphis Bleek is stepping forward to call Dame's claim into question.

On Friday (Jan. 11), Bleek was a guest on the Dusse Friday Podcast, where he shared his thoughts on the subject, having first-hand knowledge. "Everyone knows I fuck with Dame Dash, this is my guy, Roc-A-Fella history. But somebody gotta tell him, he's buggin.' You buggin," Bleek said during the sit-down."

Bleek went on to call Dame's claims a flat out fabrication. "And then you gonna really say, you wasn't there with niggas? You was opposed to it? You fucking lying," he added.

Last week, Dame sat down for an interview with Kenyatta Griggs of Hip Hop Motivation where he talked about Hov working with Kelly after knowing about what happened with the singer and Aaliyah, whom Dame dated before her death in 2001. He said it severely soured their relationship.

"To be honest, if you remember The Best of Both Worlds, you don't see my name on that," Dame confirmed. "I never wanted no parts of that."

He added, "The thing I didn't understand is, I was like, I know I'm not fuckin' with that. And because of the moral challenge and him choosing one way, I knew, morally, we weren't the same. So, to me, Roc-a-Fella was defunct. It was over. I couldn't fuck with it. It was something that, to me—I don't wanna say 'unforgivable,' but I couldn't understand it."
