Ever since DJ Khaled dropped his album Major Key with the song "Nas Album Done" last July, the question has lingered as to when fans would be receiving that new Nas album. The Queens rapper last dropped Life is Good in 2012, but the Khaled song title was a major clue that something fresh was forthcoming. That the two released a video for the song in September only solidified the notion.

A few months later and we're no closer to a new Nas LP, but he does seem to be in music-making mode, posting a photo to Instagram on Wednesday (Feb. 15) of himself in the studio. "New Studio Done!" he wrote as caption.

Word broke yesterday that Rick Ross and Nas have a collaboration in the works, but that the song will appear on Ross' Rather You Than Me, which, as he announced this week, will drop Mar. 17. The two previously rapped alongside one another on "Triple Beam Dreams" off Ross's 2012 mixtape Rich Forever and on "One of Us" off Ross's 2015 album Black Market. Ross as well appeared on Life Is Good on the track "Accident Murderers."

Check Nas's IG post below, the rapper spending the past few years working on television and film projects such as The Get Down and The Land. Earlier this month it was announced that BET has picked up a series based on Nas's life titled Street Dreams.
