Rick Ross is readying his ninth solo album, Rather You Than Me, and announced on Twitter early Wednesday morning (Feb. 15) that it will drop in roughly a months time, on March 17. Ross as well enlisted Chris Rock for a little promo help, the comedian giving the album a plug in an Instagram video below.

The new album will be Ross's first through Epic Records, and the rapper penned a letter late last month explaining some of the inspiration and meaning behind it. “This album is more than just another project for me. It’s a product of strength, perseverance, and determination,” Ross writes. “Rather You Than Me is a testimony. My testimony, and if you a real nigga, no matter where you from, you can relate to this.”

The album's lead single, "I Think She Likes Me" featuring Ty Dolla $ign dropped around the same time with a video directed by Ryan Snyder. In the weeks since, Ross as well released "Summer 17," a hard-nosed compliment to the lush sounds of "I Think She Like Me."

Rather You Than Me will be Ross's first album since Black Market, which dropped at the tail end of 2015. The MMG mogul dropped two albums in 2014, so the year off last year was somewhat atypical. Ricky Rozay returns to form soon though, with his release date announcement included below.
