XXL Freshman 2016 is coming and the freshman hopefuls are gearing up to possibly make this year’s class. With the 10th Spot voting happening now, we have to let the potentials tell us why they should appear on this year’s cover.

The next XXL Freshman candidate is Boston native Michael Christmas. The Is This Art? rapper burst onto the scene with his anthem "Michael Cera" in 2013 and has continued to pave the way for his hometown by touring across the country with the likes of Logic and Mac Miller. Releasing in 2015 the buzz worthy project What A Weird Day, Christmas proved to doubters his story-telling and unique song concepts set him apart from the rest of today's rap scene. Watch above as Young Lito tells us why he should appear on the coveted XXL Freshman list.

The XXL Freshman 10th Spot will run for one week. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into the XXL Freshman Class.
