Metro Boomin and Nav Have a Collaboration Album on the Way

Metro Boomin has been cooking up with Canadian artist/producer Nav, and the two will be dropping a joint dish in 2017.

Metro announced the collab project via Twitter, stating plainly, "Me and @beatsbynav dropping our collab album 2017."

Metro has had a 2016 to remember, which followed a 2015 that was nothing to laugh at. He started off the year with credits on Kanye West's album The Life of Pablo, co-producing the tracks "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1," "Waves" and "Facts (Charlie Heat Version)." He continued to have a good year, producing big tracks for the likes of Future ("Wicked") and Lil Uzi Vert ("You Was Right").

In July, the St. Louis transplant put out the joint EP with 21 Savage, Savage Mode. The well-received nine-song set was spearheaded by the singles "No Heart and "X." The latter became the Atlanta rapper's first platinum single in November.

At this point, 21’s already had four songs pop up on the Billboard Hot 100, including the solo songs “X” and “No Heart” - both produced by Metro - as well as features verses on Drake’s “Sneakin” and Meek Mill’s “Offended.”

Metro continues his pipeline to Canada, as he has worked extensively with Drake and has a song on The Weeknd's new album Star Boy.

Nav is down with The Weeknd's XO label. Most recently he produced “beibs in the trap” off Travis Scott's Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight.

One week ago, he posted a picture of himself and Metro putting in work in the studio (above). The fruits of their labor will drop next year.
