Metro Boomin Launches Boominati Worldwide With Republic Records and Universal Music Group
Can the producers get some? That's something artists like Sonny Digital have been advocating for. This week, hit-making beat Metro Boomin contributed to the overall cause by announcing his own label Boominati Worldwide.
The newly formed label will function in a partnership with Republic Records and Universal Music Group. Unknowingly to most, he's already released a single with Boominati—"No Complaints" featuring Drake and Offset. Metro had the following to say about his new venture: "Launching Boominati Worldwide is the next step in my career as a producer, an artist and a businessman. I created the label to represent a collective of highly gifted individuals who have the shared gift of being able to influence the world through culture and art."
It'll be interesting to see who he plans on bringing over to Boominati and if they will receive a chain with the logo on signing day. At the same time, aspiring signees will be carefully watching to see how many vocalists in comparison to producers he'll sign. He's already had the chance to hit platinum, not just gold, with artists like Post Malone ("Congratulations"), Migos ("Bad and Boujee"), Future ("Mask Off"), Kodak Black ("Tunnel Vision") and Big Sean ("Bounce Back"). That's just within the last year and doesn't count his talent as an executive producer (What a Time to Be Alive).
He'll be hitting the road this August with Bryson Tiller on the Set It Off Tour. You can check out the logo for Boominati Worldwide below.
