Rap listeners already know that Rick Ross and Nas are fans of one another, the two having cooked up memorable collaborations such as “Usual Suspects,” “Accident Murderers” and “Triple Beam Dreams.”

But Rozay isn’t the only MMG rhyme slinger that Nas is giving the thumbs up to.

When the entire MMG crew stopped by The Angie Martinez Show on Hot 97 Monday (June 25), Martinez told another MC from the group about Nas’ co-sign toward him.

“Nas co-signs Meek Mill, he says he’s the next one to take this over and he’s rooting for you,” Martinez told Meek. “Did you hear that?”

“Shout out to the big homie, Nas,” Meek said. “I gotta lot of love for that, man.”

“That’s got to be nice to hear, right?” Martinez asked.

“Yeah, he gave me a lot of confidence with that,” Meek retorted. “Now, when I go in the booth, I just be saying whatever. I take my time. [Nas] is like I’m going in the right direction already.”

It was all love when Nas met Meek back in January, the moment captured on camera.

“You made young niggas like me spit that shit…real talk,” Meek told Nas.

“I love you for that,” Nas responded.

Fans can hear Meek and Nas on MMG’s compilation LP, Self Made, Vol. 2, which hits stores today (June 26). Nas appears alongside Rozay, Wale and Omarion on the third track, “This Thing Of Ours.”

As yesterday’s interview with Martinez went on, Meek also confirmed that his past history was the cause of the cancellation of his Dreamchasers European tour.

“Past lifestyle,” Meek said.

“We gonna make sure it gets rectified, but the homie gotta few things on his criminal record,” Ross added.

After the Bawse’s album, God Forgives, I Don’t, hits stores on July 31, Meek’s debut LP, Dreams & Nightmares, is scheduled for an August 28 release.—Mark Lelinwalla
