Macklemore Shows Off New Pear-Shaped Chain

Macklemore may go to the thrift shop for his clothes, but he clearly has plenty of money to spend on some bling. The Seattle rapper took to Instagram and showed off his latest acquisition from jeweler Tresor Paris, a pear-shaped pendant. Macklemore claims the piece is made of 233 individual lime green precious stones, emeralds, diamonds, crystals, platinum, silver and white gold shards of glass.

Macklemore seemed to realize the comedy involved in this purchase as his Instagram post is quite sarcastic. He boasts that the pendant is there to remind him that he'll always win if he stays healthy. Macklemore also went on a small rant about why people should stop eating so much fish and have a pear instead. It's all seems to be said with a clear wink and nod, but you never really know with Macklemore. Maybe he's not joking at all and Rick Ross has taught him the finer things about pears.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis just hit the stage last night (Oct. 25) in Milan, Italy for the 2015 MTV EMA's and performed their hit single "Downtown" with the help of singer Eric Nally. The song continues to perform well on the charts and exposes a new generation to old school hip-hop legends Grandmaster Caz, Melle Mel and Kool Moe Dee. XXL recently spoke to Melle Mel and Kool Moe Dee about their experience working with Macklemore and how the "Downtown" collaboration came to be. There's still no word on when Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will release their much anticipated follow-up to The Heist, but the momentum of "Downtown" will keep the duo in the daily conversation.
