The Sprite Step-Off, one of the largest Greek step show competitions in the country, is coming to New York this weekend with Ludacris as its host.

The show will be documented by MTV as they follow six fraternity and sorority step teams on the road to the championships. The contest promises the largest prize pool of any domestic step competition; a total of $1.5 million in scholarship money.

“I love that MTV2 and Sprite are giving a step competition national exposure and introducing this creative dance form to an audience outside of the urban college landscape,” Luda said in a press release. “The teams competing on the show are not only dedicated but diverse and will take step competitions to a new level.”

The regional finals are set to take place this Saturday (January 30) at 6 p.m. EST in NYC’s Roseland Ballroom, with special performances by 'Cris and Wale, while the first installment of the six-part, half-hour, docu-series will premiere on MTV2 the following day.
