Killer Mike is no stranger to good deeds, and his latest venture is going to benefit a lot of children as they head back to school this fall.

The "Black Powder. White Powder" emcee, along with The Atlanta Hawks, Volcom and El-P, will open his chain of Atlanta barbershops up to students for free back-to-school haircuts at the end of the summer. Aptly named The S.W.A.G. Shop, barbers will be compensated for cuts and shave given to children ages 5-17 during the two-day event.

"Me and @shaybigga making sure we doing our part. Thank u to all our customers, staff and the community’s we serve!" Mike wrote on Instagram, tagging his wife, Shay, who co-owns The S.W.A.G. Shops with him.

The first back-to-school special will be held at the barbershop on Edgewood Avenue on Saturday, July 28, while the event on Roosevelt Highway is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 4.  Both will start at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 3:00 p.m.

In other Killer Mike-related news, the Run The Jewels lyricist recently spoke out about the black men who were arrested inside of a Philly Starbucks in April. While commending them for handling the situation "spectacularly," he made sure to comment on the state of black men in the hands of police.

"I think Black men are in danger from law enforcement because we need better policing. But the Black men [in Starbucks] need to be congratulated and saluted," he adds. "[They] showed themselves dignified, regal in that arrest. They actually kept the situation calm by not raising voice, by not hiding hands."
