Kid Trunks Urges Fans to Yell “F!*k Vic Mensa” at New York Show

The friends of XXXTentacion are not taking too kindly to the late rapper being dissed by Vic Mensa during his freestyle in a cypher at the 2018 BET Hip Hop Awards, which will air on BET on Oct. 16. Now, Kid Trunks, part of the late XXX's Members Only collective, is letting his feelings be known.

Trunks is on Denzel Curry's Ta13oo Tour, which came through New York City on Tuesday night (Oct 9). During his set, he addressed the recent uproar. "There's this guy by the name of Vic Mensa," Trunks told the crowd during a break in the action. After directing those in attendance to yell, "Fuck Vic Mensa," Trunks added, "You heard that. You can't come to Broward [County, Fla.], can't come to New York. Fuck him."

Trunks isn't the only one pissed. Trippie Redd wants to fight Vic as well as Members Only rapper Tankhead666.

Vic recently tried to explain his stance in an Instagram post. During the 2018 BET Hip Hop Awards cypher, he took a shot at XXX for allegedly abusing women and still being praised by fans. “Recently I did a freestyle for the BET Awards cypher, addressing and condemning rappers who unabashedly abuse women and those who stand up for them and even call them legends,” Vic said in an Instagram post explaining his position.

“I had no idea a grieving mother would be in the audience to honor her lost son,” he added, speaking on XXX's mother, Cleopatra Bernard. “I never intended to disrespect her and I offer my deepest condolences for her loss at the hands of gun violence."
