Kanye West, ASAP Rocky and ASAP Ferg Rap Off the Dome in New “AWGE DVD (Vol. 3)” Video
Volume three of A$AP Mob's AWGE DVD series hit the internet today (July 24) and with that came an exclusive cypher with Kanye West, A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg. The 48-minute video also includes cameos from the likes of Playboi Carti, Maxo Kream, Juicy J and XXXTentacion.
'Ye appears behind the boards about 16 minutes into the the video and cooks up a lo-fi, old-school-inspired beat before dropping a few off-kilter bars. "Well fuck it then/Got a gun, tuck it then/Real friends, you're stuck with them," he spits, notably mentioning his Joey Bada$$-inspired track.
Without hesitation, A$AP Ferg immediately jumps up and delivers a more cohesive set of bars. The "Ned Flanders" rhymer glides over the production with finesse, rapping, "Like Jada said, when you think of me you think of a problem/When I come from Harlem, click, pow, revolve 'em." The camera then turns back to Yeezy, who jokes about his past financial woes. "I invented going broke, I didn't save the dough/But they paid me, though," he raps.
After a few more lines from Ferg, A$AP Rocky gets up close and personal as he reflects on his come up. "Never gave a fuck about shit I can't afford/I just get it and I explore it and then ignore it/Until the day came, when I got a chance or advance and I bought what I wanted for my parents," the Testing spitter screams. There's a brief intermission from Kanye before they continue rapping off the dome.
Aside from the brief, albeit entertaining cypher, the latest AWGE installment includes music videos for "Crazy Brazy" off Cozy Tapes Vol. 1: Friends and "Potato Salad," a brand new track from Rocky and Tyler, The Creator. The song, which samples Monica's "Knock Knock" (produced by 'Ye), is off their forthcoming joint project, WANG$AP, according to Rocky. In response to the collab teaser, Tyler tweeted "Ima kill rocky for that idk whats coming soon or not dont get yo hopes up nigga just be excited but enjoy it."
