Jermaine Dupri's ex business partner issued a civil lawsuit against the music mogul on Jan. 13, seeking a flat rate of $1 million in damages.

According to RadarOnline, legal documents filed in a Georgia courthouse state that Dupri’s former Dieniahmar Music LLC partner, Eddie Weathers, states a merger deal that excluded Weathers kept him from acquiring the agreed split profits of 50/50, subsequently costing him hundreds of thousands in royalties over the course of several years.

In 2006, Dupri inked a co-publishing deal with EMI Music. Weathers is claiming Dupri told them "he was the sole owner in Dieniahmar when in fact he was not." Royalties paid by EMI went directly to Dupri and his manager between the years of 2006 and 2013.

Dieniahmar, Dupri and manager Willie Carter owe Weathers over $250,000. Weathers is seeking $1 million.
